Next is to have the ability to learn from a downfall or a mistake. As to not let that mistake happen a second time. Acknowledging when you are at fault is difficult for everyone. Although it is a key factor in taking responsibility for one’s actions.

As a result, responsibility can aid you in becoming self-aware and helping you develop personally and grow as a person. Being able to take responsibility for your actions will better prepare you for the consequences that may come thereafter.

These consequences can hurt those closest to you as well as damage the trust that has been formed so far. So when taking responsibility, the onus is on you to mend what has been broken and earn that trust again. The ability to take responsibility lends itself highly to the ability to see with perspective or empathy.  Allowing you to mend that which is broken.

As a result of any action you perform, there will be an equal and opposite reaction or consequence either good or bad. Through impulse action, without proper thought, or preparation comes anger, pain, and heartbreak.

Responsibility really comes in when times are tough. When you have to take accountability for something that has happened, which has lead to adverse effects on those around you.
